Voltage divider calculatorIn electronics design, one is often confronted with voltage dividers. For example, when designing OPamp-based circuits you almost always end up with design equations that give you some resistor ratio. However, finding a pair a resistors can be difficult. So many designers just use resistors from the E96 series because they aren't aware that there is a simple solution for these troubles. This tool determines the best pair of resistors from the given E series. It's surprising what can be done with E12 and E24 resistors! Many designers have E12 and E24 in stock, so this can save lots of time when you're testing an idea. The resistor values are printed together with the rings according to the standard color code. Please note that the required ratio is the ratio of the resistor values. Don't enter the voltage ratio of a voltage divider.
